H125 Dry Lease for Aerial Firefighting – Plan for the 2027 Season

24 July 2026

HeliAir Sweden offers dry lease of Airbus H125/AS350 helicopters prepared for aerial firefighting to operators across Europe. Each aircraft is equipped with the necessary mission equipment and parts, and is delivered airworthy and well maintained, ready to enter service under your own organisation. With the 2026 fire season underway across Europe, we are now taking enquiries from operators planning their capacity for 2027.

What is a helicopter dry lease?

In a dry lease arrangement, you lease the helicopter itself – without crew, fuel or insurance – and operate it under your own operational control and AOC, with full responsibility for the aircraft including maintenance and continuing airworthiness. It gives operators access to a reliable, mission-ready aircraft without the commitment of full ownership, whether to cover a fire season contract, expand capacity or replace an aircraft in maintenance.

A firefighting-proven platform

The Airbus H125/AS350 is one of the most capable single-engine helicopters in its class, and it is the platform we ourselves fly on fire duty. HeliAir Sweden has flown more firefighting hours than any other helicopter operator in Sweden, and our aircraft serve in the national helicopter readiness for forest fire fighting coordinated by MCF, the Swedish Civil Defence and Resilience Agency. The helicopters we offer for lease are configured the same way we configure our own – ready for the mission from day one.

Mission-ready from day one, full control from day one

Every helicopter we lease out comes with the necessary mission equipment and parts, delivered airworthy and in well-maintained condition from our own fleet. The aircraft are covered by Power-by-the-Hour (PBH) agreements that keep spare part lead times to a minimum, with AOG delivery guarantees – so an unexpected part requirement does not cost you days of the season. From handover, you take full responsibility for the aircraft – operations, maintenance and continuing airworthiness are managed within your own organisation. A clean, straightforward setup that gives you complete control over how the aircraft is operated and supported.

Plan ahead for the 2027 fire season

Fire seasons across Europe are getting longer and more demanding, and mission-equipped aircraft are in short supply when the season peaks. Securing a dry lease early means your capacity for 2027 is settled long before the first fire warnings. We work with flexible lease periods – a single season or longer-term arrangements.
