Helicopter sightseeing and round trips
Helicopter sightseeing with HeliAir is a short round trip over a place you choose yourself.
Flights usually start from our main base at Västerås Airport, take about half an hour from take-off to landing, and our helicopters carry four or five passengers. We publish no fixed packages and no prices: tell us where you would like to fly, roughly when, and how many you are, and we will come back with a proposal.

Half an hour in the air is enough to see a whole area from above: the town, the coast, or home.
How a flight works
The pilot goes through the practical details with you before take-off. The same information is in our passenger information sheet, which is worth reading beforehand: Passenger information Revision 1.
Then it is about half an hour from take-off to landing. If there is a particular place you want to see, the house, the summer cottage, the farm, give the pilot the coordinates and we will take a swing past it if it is possible. Weather, airspace and restricted areas decide part of the route, and flights are flown in daylight.
Where you take off from
Our main base is at Västerås Airport, just outside the town, and since 2026 we also have a base in Lysekil on the west coast. Where it can be arranged, a flight can just as well start from another location of your choosing.

The helicopter you fly in
Sightseeing is normally flown on our Airbus H120: a light single-engine turbine helicopter with a roomy cabin and panoramic visibility, and the same type our flight school trains on. It carries four passengers; for five you fly in an H125 instead. Which helicopter is used therefore depends on how many you are and where you are going. The whole fleet is described type by type.
Round trips at events
Quick round trips by helicopter are an appreciated feature at trade shows, festivals and other events. They give more people a chance to fly a helicopter, at a significantly lower price than an individual flight. We provide everything related to this on site: barriers, ticket sales, fuel and ground staff. Should your event require more capacity, it is often possible to use either a larger helicopter or two machines.

A small part of what we do
Day to day, HeliAir Sweden flies aerial fire fighting and work for the power industry. We own 34 helicopters and run our own flight school and our own workshop, and the company holds an AOC for commercial air transport, an ATO for flight training, a CAMO for continuing airworthiness and Part-145 for maintenance, all in one organisation.
